PGY-4 Overview

Stroke

  • Daily ~7:30am to 5-6pm

  • Short call 5pm to 8pm q3 during the summer. This includes seeing 1-2 consults if there are several pending when the PGY-2s sign out.

  • Home call q3 after summer

  • No continuity clinic during this rotation

Floor

  • Daily ~7:30am to 5-6pm.

  • Short call 5pm to 8pm q3 during the summer. This includes seeing 1-2 consults if there are several pending when the PGY-2s sign out.

  • Home call q3 after summer

  • Continuity clinic once a week

Consult

  • Daily ~7:30am to 5-6pm

  • Short call 5pm to 8pm q3 during the summer. This includes seeing 1-2 consults if there are several pending when the PGY-2s sign out.

  • Home call q3 after summer

  • No clinic during this rotation

Psychiatry

  • Daily 9am to 5pm

  • May take weekend night call

  • Continuity clinic once a week

Elective

  • Daily 9am to 5pm

  • Flexible time based on specific rotation, research experience, etc.

  • Continuity clinic once a week

Clinic Senior Elective

  • 2-4 clinics per week
    
  • serve in supervisory role for junior residents in clinic
    
  • assist with re-distributing patients during busy clinics 
    

Teaching:

  • Conduction of noon-conference after-session: prepare question materials and moderate discussion

  • Updating shared materials: all powerpoint slides should be stored in the designated folder

  • Elective time for own academic and clinical interests

  • May take weekend night call

  • Continuity clinic once a week

Research Residency Track

  • Modified PGY4 schedule with 6 weeks of Stroke, 1 month of Floor and 2 weeks of ###Consult

  • One month of Psychiatry

  • One month of Pediatrics

  • 5 weeks as Teaching Resident

  • Six months of Research Block, 80% time.

  • Continuity clinic once every other week
    
  • One weekend of coverage per month
